Members of the Fromme lab are active in leading and participating in several outreach activities, with the broad goals of improving diversity in the academy and communicating the importance and excitement of science to members of our community.
Many members of the lab have been active in organizing and running the GRASSHOPR program.
Steve Halaby and Aaron Joiner have served as Graduate School Ambassadors, attending conferences with a focus on diversity, such as the IvyG conference, ABRCMS, and SACNAS.
Aaron Joiner has also been a leader and participant in several other efforts, including NY STEP, and Cornell’s Careers Beyond Academia program.
Chris is the chair and a founding member of the MBG Diversity Council.
